Andrea Cetto It's not exactly cause of this why they had stop reading comments. It's the nasty sexual inappropriate ones of why they did. That's why the whole allow people to comment 'whatever they want' defense, I'm rather against it because you have fans who will comment disrespectful and inappropriate things about them and think nothing of it being a problem. That's why it is important to have some order amongst the fandom or otherwise things could get more chaotic than what is going on now in this comment section. Trust me. I'm not really against ones who comment on having a fav as we mostly as fans tend to have a stronger liking toward another specific member. But still, when the video is not the main focal point of your fav, it would be nice to also *add* some appreciation in your comment to the members the video is mainly showcasing about which is R&V. This is why there is a big fuss going on because other fans feel ones should show more respect to BTS as a group. Fans overall should show respect to other members and not often just their favs. In the end, BTS is a group and should be recognized as one, not just singly. This is a sign of respect to them as a group. It's not about favs that makes them a group after all. What makes them being a great group is their teamwork. All of them. Believe it or not, allowing this bias type of behavior can risk breakups in a group. I've seen great groups be broken up because other members can come to feel unappreciated. They work just as hard as the next member who has more fans than they do after all. With this whole thing, it's very obvious that some members have a lot more fans than other members so it's nearly impossible to overcome the fans only commenting on about just their favs cause of that. Like the younger line, they are very popular amongst the rest of the other members. JK is very popular, so if allowing all of his fans to just comment on about him in a video that's not really dedicated to highlighting his talent but actually other member's talents can be a pretty annoying. It can clearly overcome ones that are actually showing what the video is mainly showcasing about. These fans (and me too) want every member to know they are appreciated for their fine work they give off and not just their favs. They want every member to see that and know that they really appreciate all of them. Anyway, I dunno what really went down for ones to start hating JK and their fans in here. I believe that's going overboard after all. I came to seeing this comment section being a big mess really. But as said, I can understand why ones are a bit upset by others only commenting on 'just' their favs in videos that are not really highlighting their favs in the first place. It can be rather disrespectful to fans of those members and even the members themselves who would like to see fans appreciation to them too. Overall, we can have favs but we should all show respect to the members when it's due and not just our favs there. Just my input on it.

I completely understand your point. The thing is, no one said anything about other people commenting on Jimin, Jin, J-Hope or Suga. And indeed we should rather talk about them as a group instead of just individually when the main focus is on another member, but if the comment isn't insulting the others, I don't see why the people commenting should be met with such rage. While JK is popular overall, it's kind of become a "trend" for people joining the fandom to hate on him or people who stan him just because of that. Like... someone will decide to stan the hyung-line and insult those who stan anyone from the maknae line and call them "possers" or "fake". THAT's what makes me mad the most about all of this. People should feel free to share the love to any and all the members, as long as they don't insult the other members or disrespect them in any way.
