Guys, notice how this song is about a new type of superhero, perhaps one that isn't as appreciated and they're dressed as construction workers. That is so heart warming and sad at the same time. These are the people we don't pay attention to, people who provide important services but have no glamour. Some of the lyrics even say "But mom, I really need to do it/Who's gonan do it if it isn't me?" That could also be a reference to how Namjoon had to argue with his mom to let him become a rapper. Training under Bighit wasn't gonna be a glamorous thing, it would be a lot of suffering, but he and the rest of BTS believed that they were doing something good. They weren't just there for the fame and cheers, they really thought of BUILDING SOMETHING WORTHWHILE, something legendary and memorable. That is some seriously admirable commitment to their artistry. And that is the reason their music is so epic and amazing. It's so in tune with our times and personal, the only way I can describe it is as artisanal. In the korean industry we see so many songs being churned out at a factory pace, lyrics that repeat over and over and sounds that get trended like it's a conga line, but here we have these guys who listen to the youth that follows them and also the older generations and crafts their own unique thing accomodating trend and idiosyncrasy to create timeless ART. They deserve all the love.
